Background:

• San Mark Development is a non-profit NGO, founded with the Ministry of Social Affairs in 1980.
• Run by professional specialists; experienced and highly qualified in NGOs management and the technical community development works.  
• 1980 – 2007, St. Mark  carried out sixteen integrated community development projects with sixteen rural communities in Minia Governorate, in addition of running many sectored programs (economical, educational, gender rights, youth leadership, child rights, environment, health, etc.).  Through the sectored programs, the NGO cooperated with more than another sixty rural communities.
• The NGO involves in any activity as long as identified by the targeted community to be a priority.
• The NGO recognizes the applied activities as means to achieve the goal.
